Inside IUPAT DC11

A huge congratulations to our 2016 STAR Banquet Vehicle winner from Local 1719, Vilay Khamsaen! We are excited to annouce that Vilay is the new proud owner of a brand new Ford Edge! We wish to thank you and all our District Council 11 members who took the required training during the 2016 year and for putting safety first! 

IUPAT DC 11 BMST Dominick Cieri is happy to announce the closing of ratification voting and the successful ratification of a new four year contract.

The new four year agreement ensures the hard work of IUPAT DC 11 members continues to be rewarded with top notch wages and benefits for the best craftsmen in the finishing trades throughout Connecticut , Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

The results of the ratification vote are: 105 aye, 11 nay.

Local 1274 swore in their First Year Glazing apprentices into the Local Union by President Richard Shaw at November's union meeting. The Finishing Trades Institute of Southern New England/IUPAT DC11 are very excited to see what our new group of Glazing Apprentices have in store for us in the future. Welcome to the IUPAT DC11 Family and congratulations! 

On Thursday November 17th, 2016 the Finishing Trades Institute of Southern New England hosted a tour of our new facility along with the State Building Trades Unions. Connecticut Political Representatives, CT DOL Office of Apprenticeship and Training, Federal OSHA, AFL-CIO, United Labor Agency and others joined the bus tour of 6 Building Trade Apprenticeship facilities. We showcased our new facility and construction renovations that are in progress. They also had the chance to meet and ask questions to our apprentices in daytime training receiving their OSHA 30 certification.
