Benefits for Veterans:
Streamlined Entry: Veterans benefit from a streamlined entry process into our apprenticeship programs, recognizing the invaluable skills and experiences gained during military service.
Financial Assistance through the VA: In collaboration with the VA, eligible veterans receive financial assistance that covers the difference between apprentice and journeyworker rates. This means veterans can earn a journeyworker's wage from the start of their apprenticeship, providing significant financial support as they train.
Supportive Community: Join a community that values the veteran experience, offering camaraderie and support throughout your transition into your new career path.
Skill Matching: We carefully match veterans' military skills to the trades, ensuring a smooth and rewarding transition to civilian employment.
Engaging with Helmets to Hardhats and the VA: As a certified partner with Helmets to Hardhats and a Certified School Official with the VA, we are dedicated to helping veterans find meaningful careers in the trades. These partnerships allow us to provide comprehensive support, from career training opportunities with Helmets to Hardhats to financial assistance through the VA, laying a solid foundation for veterans' future success.
We invite veterans interested in leveraging their military experience into a civilian trade career to learn more about how our apprenticeship programs can support your journey. Together, we will build upon your military service, guiding you toward a successful and rewarding career in the trades.

Our apprenticeship programs are primarily taught in English to ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to safety and industry standards. We recognizing the diversity of our community and the importance of inclusivity, therefore we offer assistance with Spanish speaking instructors, as well as Portuguese and Albanian instructors and advanced translating tools.
However, it's important to note that while we strive to accommodate language needs in the classroom, the practical work environment in the field may not always provide the same level of language support. Therefore, we encourage all participants to make a concerted effort to learn or improve their English language skills. This effort is crucial for effective communication on job sites, understanding safety protocols, and integrating fully into the workforce. Our goal is to ensure every apprentice has the tools and opportunities to succeed, both in our programs and in their future careers in the trades.
Spanish Language Support: Many of our classes are led by Spanish-speaking instructors, providing fluent instruction and assistance to Spanish-speaking apprentices.
Additional Language Assistance: We are proud to have instructors who speak Albanian and Portuguese, catering to a broader range of apprentices by offering instruction and support in these languages.
Translating Technology: To accommodate apprentices from various linguistic backgrounds, we utilize advanced translating technology. This ensures that all apprentices, regardless of their primary language, can access and engage with our program materials effectively.
